Towing Company Marketing in Miami: Get More Tow Calls
When a car breaks down on the Palmetto, the driver doesn't browse. They tap the first towing company Google shows them that looks trustworthy and answers the phone. Your marketing has one job: be that company.
How people actually find a tow truck in Miami
Towing is an emergency purchase. Someone is stuck on US-1 in Cutler Bay, on the shoulder of the Turnpike in Homestead, or in a parking lot in Kendall with a dead battery. They pull out their phone, search "tow truck near me" or "grúa cerca de mí", and call one of the first three results. Most never scroll past them.
That means three places on Google decide who gets the call: the Local Services Ads at the very top (the ones with the green Google Guaranteed or Google Screened badge), the Google Maps pack right below, and the regular search results. A towing company that shows up in two of those three spots gets the lion's share of calls in its area.
Notice what is missing from that list: fancy branding, long blog posts, and social media. Those can help over time, but they are not what makes the phone ring at 2 a.m. Start with the places drivers actually tap.
Step 1: Google Local Services Ads — pay per call, not per click
Local Services Ads (LSA) are the fastest channel for towing. You pay for a lead — usually a phone call — not for a click, and you can dispute calls that are not real jobs. Google shows your rating, hours, and service area right in the ad, so the driver can decide in a second.
Here is a real example. Dade Towing, a towing and roadside company serving Miami-Dade from Kendall down to Homestead, ran Local Services Ads with us and received 28 phone calls for $200 in ad spend. The leads came in by job type and city, so the owner could see which areas and services were paying off. You can see the screenshot on our Dade Towing client page.
Getting LSA approved takes some paperwork: business license, insurance, and background checks. That is where most owners get stuck. We handle the setup and verification help, keep your service areas and hours accurate, and dispute bad leads. Management is $100 a month; the ad spend goes directly to Google and you control the weekly budget.
Step 2: A Google Business Profile built for emergency calls
Your Google Business Profile is what shows up in Google Maps. For towing, a few details matter more than anything else: the right primary category (Towing service), accurate hours (say 24 hours only if you really answer), a service area that matches where your trucks actually go, and a phone number that is answered live.
Then add the things that build trust fast: real photos of your trucks with your name on them, services listed one by one (flatbed towing, lockouts, jump starts, tire changes, accident recovery), and short weekly posts. Replying to every review, in English or Spanish, shows the next driver that a real person runs the company.
Reviews are the tiebreaker. When two towing companies are both close, drivers pick the one with more recent reviews. Make it a habit to text a review link after every job — the moment the customer is relieved and grateful is the best time to ask. Google Business Profile management is $100 a month with us, and automatic review requests are another $100 a month.
Step 3: A fast mobile website with one big call button
Even with ads and Maps, many drivers tap through to your website before calling. They are on a phone, often with a weak signal, so the site has to load fast and put the phone number at the top of every screen. A tap-to-call button that stays on screen is not optional for towing.
Keep the page simple: what you do, where you go, how fast you usually arrive, your hours, and real photos. Add a page for each main city you serve — Miami, Kendall, Homestead, Hialeah, Doral — so Google understands your coverage. Write it in English and Spanish; a large share of Miami drivers search in Spanish, and most towing sites ignore them.
Our Website Launch package is $599 one-time and includes call tracking and Google Business Profile setup, with $100 a month for hosting, edits, and support. Morley Towing Services and Dade Towing both used our team for their towing marketing.
Step 4: Track every call so you know what is working
Most towing owners know roughly how busy they are, but not where the calls come from. Call tracking fixes that. Each source — Local Services Ads, Google Maps, your website, a truck wrap — gets its own number, and every call is recorded and labeled. Within a few weeks you know which channel brings real tows and which brings price shoppers.
Recordings also help you train dispatchers. Listen to a few missed opportunities each week: the caller who was put on hold too long, the quote that was given without asking for the location. Small fixes on the phone often raise booked jobs more than a bigger ad budget.
Call tracking is included free on websites we build, or $100 a month for an existing site.
Step 5: Never lose a missed call
Towing calls come in bursts. When two drivers call at once, one goes to voicemail — and that driver will call the next company in seconds. A missed-call text back sends an automatic message right away: "Sorry we missed you — this is Dade Towing, where are you located?" Many drivers reply by text instead of calling the next company.
The same system can send a review request after each job and a short follow-up to fleet and dealership contacts who use you regularly. CRM and automations start at $100 a month.
None of this needs a big budget. A typical starting setup for a small towing company is Local Services Ads management plus Google Business Profile, about $200 a month in management, plus whatever weekly ad budget you choose with Google.

- Keep your Google Business Profile accurate, full of real truck photos, and fed with fresh reviews after every job.
